June is upon us and for many in Albemarle County the end of the school year and summer break looms near.
After a week of sitting poolside with the kids, the monotony of the summer routine begins to fill most parents with dread.
They can almost hear the droning echoes of “I’m bored” and “There’s nothing to do…”!
Hopefully, some of our suggestions for defeating those “summertime blues” will help! Take heart, not all of them are for the kids!
1) June 10
 Circix with the Moonlight Circus at Ix Art Park 5-8pm
A truly singular circus experience for the whole family!
2) June 15
Brewer’s Ball at Ix Art Park 6:30-11pm
Celebrate the finest in local craft beer and food while raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis.
3) June 16
Charlottesville High School 7-10pm
Take in some local baseball and watch the Charlottesville Tom Sox take on the Waynesboro Generals!
4) June 30 6-9pm
Orchard Jams at Chiles Peach Orchard
A new tradition on the last Friday of each month. Enjoy food, music,cider, wine and lawn games. Music begins at 6 and admission is free!
