charlottesville pavilion concert, show music

Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall is known to locals and visitors alike as a hot-spot hangout day and night. At night, not only are there plenty of restaurants along the brick walkway to choose from, there are also quite a few venues from which to enjoy music of almost any genre. The Jefferson Theater, The Paramount, The Southern, and more play host to bands from all over and give C’ville-ians and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the music.

Notably, the Sprint Pavilion at the opposite end of the Downtown Mall from the Omni, is an outdoor venue that boasts ticketed events to shows throughout the year, but during the summer, offers free concerts on Friday nights. This series is knows as Fridays after Five. This free concert series is family-friendly and provides music from multiple genres so that there is something for everyone. There are food trucks, local craft beer vendors, plenty of seating and more!
